Monthly Kindermusik Playdate
Winter can be cold and dreary, but not at Kindermusik! We'll shake off those winter blues with lively activities including a craft, singing, dancing, instrument play, and a storytime. We'll finish off with every parent's favorite activity - Quiet Time. Come join us!
A Playdate is a one-time Kindermusik class. $32 plus $12 per sibling includes a craft and an instrument for each child to take home.
Ongoing monthly enrollment is also an option at $28 plus $12 per sibling.

January Theme: Peakaboo!
A house with a baby is full of love, fun, toys…and baby games! Research has discovered that peekaboo results in more baby smiles than any other baby game. This month we will have tons of smiles and giggles with classic baby games including,
of course, Peekaboo!
Join us for this sweet class that features baby massage,
baby exercise, instrument play, singing, creative
movement...and friendship and support in a community
of new parents! You will learn simple routines and musical
activities to help your little one grow & develop and enjoy
tender moments and joyful play with your little one.

January Theme: Around the House
Home is where the heart is—but also where the cooking, eating, playtime, bath time, and pets are! Around the House makes its way through the typical routines and day-parts, from active games and play-alongs to calming, rocking lullabies.
Bonding moments and giggles abound as you and your little one rock, dance, snuggle, sing, learn new music games (sometimes with tickles!), play instruments, dance and cuddle together. Watch with delight as your child begins to walk, talk, sing, play, clap, and dance all on their own!
Level 2: 2 & 3 Years

January Theme: Marvelous Me
Children will build independence and grow their self-esteem by exploring all the things they can do by themselves. They’ll gain self-awareness learning how people, animals & plants grow and change. We’ll celebrate the uniqueness of each child as we sing, dance, move, explore and play.
Your child will love this mix of singing, dancing, stories, exploring and playing instruments. The engaging activities will help your child develop motor skills, listening skills, and social skills like turn-taking and sharing. Your independent little toddler still needs lots of cuddles, and you’ll have lots of opportunities for those special moments together.
Level 3: Ages 3 & 4 Years
Parents & Child Participate Together. (Siblings ages 1-7 may also enroll)

January Theme: Carnival of Music
Experience the sights, sounds and excitement of the carnival with your little one through instrument exploration, songs, dances and more! we’ll learn all about what carnivals have to offer: carousels, clowns, pretzels for sale, and so much more. So step right up – we’re off to the Carnival of Music!
Level 3 classes are family style classes. They are designed for 3 & 4 year olds but siblings are welcome, too! The 3 and 4 years olds enjoy and benefit from a curriculum designed especially for them and activities are also chosen for adaptability for the younger ones. Families build connections, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.
Level 4: Ages 4 - 6 Years
Parents join the last 15 minutes.

January Theme: Sing a Story
We’re off to the opera—it’s time to Sing a Story! You will meet some colorful characters from a Mozart opera called The Magic Flute, check out the hustle and bustle that happens backstage before a show, and learn more about Mozart, too. You’ll even explore the musical staff, and how notes a composer puts on a page become beautiful music!
Your child will fall more in love with music as they enjoy singing songs, playing a variety of percussion instruments, and moving to music from a variety of cultures. Activities also include a story time, exploring music vocabulary and music notation, playing music in an ensemble, and incorporating their ideas in a newly “made up” verse to a song. Schooling readiness continues with a focus on language skills, physical coordination, and social skills.

Kindermusik Musicians
Year 1 January Theme: Music Notation and Emotion in Music
This month the first year Kindermusik Musicians class will learn to read notes on the full music staff and play them on the glockenspiel. They will learn the music terminology for dynamics (loud and quiet), review the instruments of the percussion family of the orchestra. and experience the relationship between music and emotions through listening, movement, and art.
Year 2 January Theme: The Recorder and the Music of Asia
This month the 2nd year Musicians class will receive their new instrument - a recorder! We will learn how to create a beautiful sound on the recorder as we play both new and well known songs. We will also learn about time signatures and measures in music, review and expand our understanding of music tempo terminology, and explore the music and instruments of Asia.
Your child will LOVE Kindermusik Musicians and all the instruments and materials included. In this class, young musicians learn to play several instruments, read and write music, explore orchestral instruments, and discover music from a variety of genres and cultures. It’s the perfect prep for piano or any of our group or private lessons.
