We continually accept applications for substitute teachers for the following instruments: Piano, Voice, Choir, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, Drums, Choir, Bass Guitar, Ukulele. If you are interested in applying to be a substitute teacher, please complete the online form below. When teaching openings occur, we hire first from our substitute teacher pool.
Beginning teachers with strong musical training and performance experience are encouraged to apply for any open position. We provide training and mentorship for qualified musicians who are ready to develop their teaching skills.

Current Openings
Piano Teacher
Teach piano lessons to beginner through early intermediate students. We're looking for someone who communicates kindly and clearly, loves working with students and families, and has solid training in piano technique and performance. The ideal candidate can sight-read classical piano music at an intermediate level or above, improvise an accompaniment from a lead sheet or chord chart. Teaching experience is preferred but we will train the right person. A college degree in music and/or extensive performance experience is a plus.
Kindermusik Teacher
Teach Kindermusik classes to children ages newborn through age 7. Kindermusik is a research-based early childhood music and movement program that uses singing, age appropriate instruments, and creative movement to support children's cognitive, social, and physical development. Kindermusik training will be scheduled after hire. The ideal candidate communicates kindly and clearly, loves to sing, reads music, has experience working with young children, and enjoys interacting with young families. You'll help children discover the joy of music while supporting their growth and development through play-based learning.
Voice Teacher
Teach one-on-one voice lessons to motivated teens and adults. We’re looking for someone who communicates kindly and clearly, loves working with students and families, and has solid training in vocal technique and performance. A college degree in music or extensive performance experience is a plus. You’ll help students grow in breath support, tone, range, and expression while helping them achieve personal goals and preparing them for Southern Oregon School of Music concerts, music theater auditions, singing on worship teams, and other performance opportunities.
