Monthly Kindermusik Playdate

7.png

You and your child will delight in playing in the “snow," making "snow" angels, and "ice skating" on paper plates. Then to add to the holiday fun, we’ll pretend we’re going on a sleigh ride and play bells to a jingle bell symphony. Share the magic of the season with your little one in this hour of music and movement that includes a craft and retelling of "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

A Playdate is a one-time Kindermusik class. $32 plus $12 per sibling includes a craft and an instrument for each child to take home.

Ongoing monthly enrollment is also an option at $28 plus $12 per sibling.

Space is limited.  Register today!!

December Theme: Mama Goose

Nursery rhymes endure for a reason. They’re quirky, rhymey, and memorable–and are also magical for speech and language development, as they work to “wire” the brain for communication before speech even begins! What bliss to share something with your child that your parents shared with you–or better yet, to learn and share one for the very first time! Welcome to Mama Goose.

Join us for this sweet class that features baby massage,
baby exercise, instrument play, singing, creative
movement...and friendship and support in a community
of new parents! You will learn simple routines and musical
activities to help your little one grow & develop and enjoy
tender moments and joyful play with your little one.

December Theme: Rain or Shine

Up the water spout, down the water spout, you know how it goes! We’ll use our senses to explore the sights, sounds, and sensations of sunny days, rainy days, snowy days, and all the other kinds of days in between. Rain or Shine, we’ll be ready for some fun!

Bonding moments and giggles abound as you and your little one rock, dance, snuggle, sing, learn new music games (sometimes with tickles!), play instruments, dance and cuddle together. Watch with delight as your child begins to walk, talk, sing, play, clap, and dance all on their own!

December Theme: Silly All Over

Catch a case of the giggles! Tap into the joy of laughter as we wiggle, boing, and jiggle through this unit full of silly sounds and silly moves. Wound through the silliness we will practice stop-and-go motion, experience up and down, use our fine-motor skills, incorporate vocal play, and tickle our sense of humor all at the same time. Hold onto your funny bones – we’re about to get Silly All Over!

Your child will love this mix of singing, dancing, stories, exploring and playing instruments. The engaging activities will help your child develop motor skills, listening skills, and social skills like turn-taking and sharing. Your independent little toddler still needs lots of cuddles, and you’ll have lots of opportunities for those special moments together.

outside my window.png

December Theme: Outside My Window

Look outside the window! Is it raining with plenty of drip-drop, splashy sounds to imitate? Or is it a cold, snowy morning just right to make some pretend snowballs? In this weather-themed unit, we’ll move to the music, explore rhythms and patterns, and highlight the musical concepts of crescendo and decrescendo. Create a rainstorm symphony of sounds and move like leaves in the wind – the sun, rain, wind, and snow are all waiting right Outside My Window!

Level 3 classes are family style classes.  They are designed for 3 & 4 year olds but siblings are welcome, too! The 3 and 4 years olds enjoy and benefit from a curriculum designed especially for them and activities are also chosen for adaptability for the younger ones.  Families build connections, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.

December Theme: Dance With Me

Put on your dancing shoes, it’s time to twirl, tap, leap, bow, and turn! Music makes people move in many different ways—and we get to find our own way, too. You’ll learn dance steps, move expressively, explore instruments, and learn to play together in an ensemble. Come on in and Dance With Me!

Your child will fall more in love with music as they enjoy singing songs, playing a variety of percussion instruments, and moving to music from a variety of cultures. Activities also include a story time, exploring music vocabulary and music notation, playing music in an ensemble, and incorporating their ideas in a newly “made up” verse to a song. Schooling readiness continues with a focus on language skills, physical coordination, and social skills.

Kindermusik Musicians

Year 1 December Theme: Horses, Trains, the Percussion Family, Reading Music Notation & Playing Melodies

This month the children play the first simple songs on their glockenspiels. We learn to read and play the notes C and A on the musical staff, sing songs about trains and horses, and recognize by sight and sound the instruments of the percussion family.

Year 2 December Theme: Music of Russia and China

This month the 2nd year Musicians class will explore th music and instruments of Russia & China including the music of the Nutcracker Ballet by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky. We will also play 4-measure melodies with 4-5 different notes on the glockenspiel.

Your child will LOVE Kindermusik Musicians and all the instruments and materials included. In this class, young musicians learn to play several instruments, read and write music, explore orchestral instruments, and discover music from a variety of genres and cultures. It’s the perfect prep for piano or any of our group or private lessons.
