Monthly Kindermusik Playdate

Children and trains make a natural match—always on the move. Tag along with a traveling zoo train called the Allee-Allee-O that visits all the animals in the zoo. We'll learn about the animals and explore animal sounds and movements while enjoying songs, dances, instrument play, and a story all around the zoo animal theme.

A Playdate is a one-time Kindermusik class. $32 plus $12 per sibling includes a craft and an instrument for each child to take home.

Level 1: Ages 0 - 24 Months
Parents & Child Participate Together
Tuesdays @ 11 AM | Thursdays @ 10 AM

July Theme: On the Town With Bear
Lace up your sneakers, we’re going out on the town! We’ll visit the city and see what there is to see, then head out into the country to check that out, too. Bear will, of course, go over the mountain and go a-yodeling. Come along! You never know what adventures you’ll have when
you’re On the Town with Bear.
Bonding moments and giggles abound as you and your little one rock, dance, snuggle, sing, learn new music games (sometimes with tickles!), play instruments, dance and cuddle together. Watch with delight as your child begins to walk, talk, sing, play, clap, and dance all on their own!

Level 2: 2 & 3 Years
Parents & Child Participate Together
Thursdays @ 11 AM

July Theme: Pet Parade
Gather your critters; it’s time for some fun! We will use our bodies and imaginations to gallop like horses, scamper like mice, “swim” our hands, and fly scarves like birds—all the while developing motor skills, vocabulary, imagination, and more. Woof, meow, neigh, squeak, or blub-blub-blub… Everyone is welcome in this fun, adorable, and lovably ridiculous Pet Parade!
Your child will love this mix of singing, dancing, stories, exploring and playing instruments. The engaging activities will help your child develop motor skills, listening skills, and social skills like turn-taking and sharing. Your independent little toddler still needs lots of cuddles, and you’ll have lots of opportunities for those special moments together.

Level 3: Ages 3 & 4 Years
Parents & Child Participate Together. (Siblings ages 1-7 may also enroll)
Fridays @ 11 AM

July Theme: Wild Animal Park
Let’s take a trip to the Wild Animal Park! We’ll slither like snakes and pounce like leopards, encounter tiny tree frogs and enormous elephants, and visit amazing habitats that are high and low, hot and cold, dry and rainy. Then, it’s time for the animals’ favorite activity, which they all do together. It’s the jungle hokey-pokey!
Level 3 classes are family style classes. They are designed for 3 & 4 year olds but siblings are welcome, too! The 3 and 4 years olds enjoy and benefit from a curriculum designed especially for them and activities are also chosen for adaptability for the younger ones. Families build connections, grownups learn ideas for music exploration and play at home, and there’s room for everyone to grow.

Level 4: Ages 4 - 6 Years
Parents join the last 15 minutes.
Thursdays @ 1 PM

July Theme: Jazz Kitchen
What’s cookin? Jazz Kitchen takes jazz music, sounds, and instruments. . .you guessed it. . .into the kitchen! Your child will explore shopping at the grocery store and heading into the kitchen for chopping, dicing, making toast, and cooking noodles from scratch - all through song, dance, storytime, creative movement, and instrument play to the sounds and rhythms of jazz.
Your child will fall more in love with music as they enjoy singing songs, playing a variety of percussion instruments, and moving to music from a variety of cultures. Activities also include a story time, exploring music vocabulary and music notation, playing music in an ensemble, and incorporating their ideas in a newly “made up” verse to a song. Schooling readiness continues with a focus on language skills, physical coordination, and social skills.

Level 5: Ages 5-7 Years
Parents join the last 15 minutes.
Year 1: Thursdays @ 3:00 pm beginning August 27
Year 2: Tuesdays @ 3:00 pm
Level 5: Kindermusik Musicians
Year 2: Ukulele
This month we begin exploring the ukulele, a string instrument that is fun and easy to play! We are using the "Rainbow Ukulele" method which uses colored dots on the ukulele fretboard to make learning easier and faster for children. The ukulele is used in many kinds of music, not just Hawaiian songs. You might hear it in pop songs, folk music, or even jazz. This summer we are using it to play some of the wonderful children's songs we learn in Kindermusik! The ukulele's gentle sound makes it perfect for playing anywhere this summer—in the park, at a friend’s house, or just in your own backyard.
Your child will LOVE Kindermusik Musicians and all the instruments and materials included. In this class, young musicians learn to play several instruments, read and write music, explore orchestral instruments, and discover music from a variety of genres and cultures. It’s the perfect prep for piano or any of our group or private lessons.
