Ages 9-11 with one year of lesson experience

Advancing young musicians work together to write original songs, rehearse as a band, and experience the excitement of bringing their music to life through guided songwriting, ensemble playing, and recording. Rock Write & Record uses the Brooklyn Music Factory® approach, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and original music-making in a supportive, high-engagement environment.
Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
What Participants will Experience:

Collaborative songwriting sessions

Learning song structure (verse, chorus, bridge, intro, ends)

Band rehearsals applying instrumental skills

Livestream of final recording session

Perform original songs at SOSM’s Summer Pops Concert

Early Bird Registration: $270
Comparable to about 8 private lessons, plus guided songwriting, rehearsal, and recording an original song
